Mouth of the Tyne Festival

The much-loved Mouth of the Tyne Festival returns to Tynemouth Priory and Castle this summer having booked a lovely line up which blends long-time big names of pop and a homegrown star of tomorrow.

Newcastle singer songwriter Andrew Cushin has been booked for the top slot on Saturday night, which will undoubtedly be a memorable occasion for the 23-year-old, who sold out two nights at the City Hall before Christmas and has toured across the US and Europe.

As ever, we’re sure the festival atmosphere will spread beyond the Priory and Castle, with street entertainment spilling out all over the town and an abundance of festival-themed fun bedding in at Tynemouth Station.

Headliners: Ocean Colour Scene with special guests, Roachford (Thursday); Rick Astley with special guests The Lightning Seeds (Friday, SOLD OUT), Andrew Cushin plus special guests The Slow Readers Club (Saturday); and Heather Small (Sunday).
