A new arena for Laffs4Kids
A Christmas comedy tradition is moving into bigger premises… and its ambitious organiser is looking for generous supporters to help make the move a smooth one. Sam Wonfor reports
- Laffs4Kids launched in 2015 with audiences encouraged to ‘pay’ for the show with Christmas presents for children who wouldn’t be getting any
- In 2023, the event collected 18,500 gifts over two performances at Newcastle O2 City Hall
- Organisers are aiming to collect 50,000 presents for Christmas 2024 by moving the gig to the Utilita Arena
